Project 1962, North Denmark

Set on a generous natural site overlooking the sea, this project is a reimagining of the existing summer house shaped by the original atmosphere, and modern lived experience.

We approached the house as a whole; considering how the family arrives, moves, and settles into each space, and how visual connections unfold within the interiors and out towards the landscape. By opening up the plan, redefining key transitions, and introducing new openings, we created a stronger sense of continuity between rooms and a closer dialogue between inside and out.

Materials, colours, and finishes are carefully composed to bring warmth, depth, and a quiet sense of cohesion. Every element is considered as part of a larger whole, from bespoke furniture to spatial proportions and the tactile qualities of each surface
